Fall Steelhead Camp
The Season: September through mid-November.
Class One Special Fishery, wilderness quality, uncrowded angler density.

Jet boat access only to 15 miles of the upper Babine River. All wild Steelhead, world-record size, excellent catch rates. Experienced, professional staff provide great meals, clean and warm accommodations, and personalized guiding

Emphasis on fly fishing technique: dead-drift dry fly, dry line, light to heavy sink tip, shooting head and strike indicator methods. Satellite cabin trip twice weekly on draw basis for an even more remote river fly fishing experience.

High density of grizzly bears, wolves and bald eagles. The Babine River is British Columbia's sixth-largest salmon river with a long-standing reputation of excellence in overall wilderness quality Steelheading in a professional camp setting.

Angling License: Electronic licensing is now required by government. We are no longer able to issue paper licenses at the Trout Lodge or Steelhead Camp.  Guests must purchase the required angling licenses on line or at the Smithers Government Access Center during business hours.  The on line link is www.fishing.gov.bc.ca
