**Packages Include $250 surcharge for the Babine River Foundation, all taxes, transportation from Smithers and return, 9 to 9 1/2 hours fishing per day, a guide per 3-4 anglers, accommodation at the camp and meals.
Travel Information:
Arrive in Smithers the day before your trip starts. Recommended Smithers overnight accommodation at the Stork Nest Inn: www.storknestinn.com.
Trip start day: Depart for camp at 6:30 a.m via the Babine Norlakes van and are fishing after a light breakfast (9 am approx.). You will depart from camp to Smithers by van on the final day to either the Stork Nest Inn or the Smithers airport to meet the evening flight.
Booking Information:
A deposit of fifty percent (50%) is required upon receipt of confirmation to confirm reservation. Deposits not received within two weeks of booking will result in the loss of space reserved. Deposits are not refundable unless a replacement is found or an alternative booking is made within the current fishing season. Final Payments are due 90 days prior to trip departure. Repeat clientele have the option of booking the same dates for the following season.
Cancellations, & Refunds: Cancellations are not refundable unless a replacement is found or an alternative booking is made within the current fishing season. There is a $500 rebooking fee.
Disclosure and Responsibility: Babine Norlakes Steelhead Camp LTD will not be held responsible or liable for any loss, injury to participants, or damage to personal property, or for any cancellations, expenses or delays incurred as a result of weather, transportation, or other conditions over which we have no control. We reserve the right to withdraw and/or cancel any excursion offered at any time and make changes or alterations in the itinerary as may be found necessary for safety and proper handling of said excursions. We make no compromise to assure a safe trip; however, outdoor activities of this nature are not entirely “risk-free”. We recommend that you secure travel and trip cancellation insurance.
Fishing Licenses: Electronic licensing is now required by government... Guests must purchase the required angling licenses online at www.fishing.gov.bc.ca.

Follow link above and click on the yellow box on the right that says “Buy a freshwater Licence” If you do not know your “Angler Number” and have your licence from previous years, you can retrieve your “Angler Number” from it or request it at the bottom of the page. If you have not fished in BC before, then you need to register by clicking “Register Now”. Follow the instructions through to purchasing your licence page.
1. You will need a “Basic Licence”.
2. You will then need to add the “Classified Waters Licence”. You will need 7 days. Be sure to check the guided box and add “Billy Labonte” to the box for “Guides Name”
3. You will then need to add a “Steelhead Stamp”. If fishing in November, the Classified waters and Steelhead stamp are not required.
Liquor & Personal Items: Due to our remote location, it is important to purchase any liquor or personal supplies prior to departure for the lodge. We do not provide liquor, mixers or tobacco. If you email us your order we would me more the happy to pick up your items for you.
Travel Insurance: Babine Norlakes recommend all guests purchase adequate travel insurance including trip cancellation and emergency IN-Canada medical coverage and evacuation insurance. No one ever plans to need medical care while away; but if you do experience misadventures on your vacation, Emergency Medical Coverage can cover medivac /ambulance, hospitalization, surgery, prescriptions, emergency transportation home and more. Length of Season:
The fishing season on the Babine River extends from late August to mid November. Babine Lake, the large body of water that forms the source of the river, has a moderating influence on water temperature, allowing the Upper Babine river to be fished later into the season.
